The GED® in Namibia
On completion of the GED® in Namibia, graduates can apply to the Namibian Qualifications Authority (NQA) for a Certificate of Evaluation. The purpose of the NQA evaluation is to determine the level of the National Qualifications Framework at which a particular foreign qualification, such as the GED, should be recognised. While the NQA evaluates each application on an individual application basis, the NQA has evaluated the GED® and found it to be comparable to a Certificate at NQF Level 4 (four) of the National Qualifications Framework for Namibia.
Internationally, the GED® program is the only higher secondary certificate available in over 85 countries and is accepted by nearly all universities in the U.S. and many across the world. The University of the People, an online accredited American university accepts the GED as admission to most of their qualifications, including degree studies.
